Diploma in Techniques d’administration et de gestion is a diploma in Business Administration programme offered by Cégep André Laurendeau in Montréal, Canada. The programme runs for 3 years. Teaching is in French. Tuition for international students is CAD 15,150 per year (CAD 3,740 per year for local students).
Techniques d'administration et de gestion (TAG) is a technical DEC (410.G0) at Cégep André-Laurendeau that develops broad business skills: supporting an organization's operations and growth, managing human, financial, and material resources, communicating for client service or social-media purposes, using digital tools to support decision-making, and producing media content to represent an organization. Students choose among three streams. The accounting stream covers financial-management methods and tools, with courses such as payroll processing and cost analysis. The digital-marketing stream covers promotional campaigns and digital tools for products and services, including a web-strategy and social-media-management course. The management stream covers general business fundamentals with elective options in human resources (courses such as HR project management and staff training), entrepreneurship (business-plan and venture-development courses), or sport management (sport marketing and sport project-management courses). The program is offered in an alternance travail-études format with two paid twelve-week placements in Canada, and combines simulations and real projects with students from other programs and with partner businesses. Graduates can continue to university in accounting and management, human-resources management, marketing, communication, or business administration. It suits students who want broad administrative training with the option to specialize in finance, marketing, general management, human resources, entrepreneurship, or sport administration.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Prerequisites (préalables), exactly as published on the program's own page: DES (Diplôme d'études secondaires); the program page states no further subject-specific prerequisite beyond the diploma. No minimum grade, interview, portfolio, or language test beyond the general Quebec-college process is stated on the program page. Admission follows the college's general process: apply online through the Service régional d'admission du Montréal métropolitain (SRAM) at admission.sram.qc.ca, which handles admission for every Montreal-area Cégep, with the college making the final decision. First-round deadlines are 1 March for Fall (applications open mid-January) and 1 November for Winter (applications open mid-September); where more qualified applicants apply than there are seats, the Cote R (R-score), based on cumulative average, ministerial-exam results and program prerequisites, ranks candidates.
