Program details
Overview
Electrical Engineering Technology - Automation and Control is a three-year technical Diplôme d'études collégiales (DEC), program code 243.DO, offered at Cégep de Lévis. The program focuses on programming automated systems and robots and operating connected equipment, through laboratory-based instruction built around current automation technologies. Students learn to select, install, program, troubleshoot, and optimize automated and electrical control systems used in industrial settings, working with programmable controllers, sensors, and networked equipment across the program's six semesters of coursework and laboratory work. Later semesters build toward integrating multiple automated subsystems into a single controlled process. The program is delivered on campus and prepares graduates for technologist roles in industrial automation, electrical control systems, and manufacturing process control, building on a foundation of secondary-level mathematics and science.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Applicants must hold a Diplôme d'études secondaires (DES) or an equivalent qualification, and must have completed secondary-level Mathematics (Technico-sciences 4 or Sciences naturelles 4) and Science (Science et technologie de l'environnement 4 or Science de l'environnement 4).
