Program details
Overview
Industrial Robotics is a continuing-education Attestation d'études collégiales (AEC) offered at Cégep de Lévis, covering the implementation, programming, and maintenance of robotic work cells in automated manufacturing environments. The program totals 720 hours of instruction across twelve courses covering electrical and pneumatic circuits, programmable logic controllers, robot calibration and configuration, network communication for automated systems, workplace safety, simulation software, and advanced robot programming. Graduates learn to assess client robotics needs, install, configure, and commission robotic cells, and integrate industrial robots into automated production systems. The program runs on a schedule of three days per week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is delivered on campus at Cégep de Lévis, with sessions offered at both the main campus and the Saint-Romuald campus. It targets adults returning to study or seeking to add robotics competencies to an existing background in electromechanics or electrical engineering.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Applicants must meet one of the standard AEC eligibility routes (interrupted full-time studies, prior postsecondary studies, or a relevant diploma) and hold a Diplôme d'études professionnelles (DEP) in electromechanical automated systems, or have completed collegial training (AEC or DEC) in the field of electrical engineering, or hold a secondary school diploma together with relevant experience or training in a related field.
