Sciences Humaines: Gestion et responsabilité sociale is a pre-university Diploma of College Studies (DEC, codes 300.M0 and 300.M1) at Cégep de l'Outaouais, completed over four sessions (two years) at Campus Gabrielle-Roy, with Fall and Winter intake. The program studies how management principles apply across organizations and businesses, their role in the economy and society, and the challenge of balancing long-term viability with socially and environmentally responsible practices and employee well-being. Coursework combines management and economics courses with core Sciences Humaines courses in history, political science, and psychology, building research and analytical skills for university-level study. Two entry tracks are offered: a no-additional-math track (300.M0) and a with-math track (300.M1) that adds differential and integral calculus and linear algebra, opening routes into university programs in applied economics, mathematics, and math teaching alongside business administration. The diploma also leads to studies in law, sociology, communication, and related social-science fields.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Offered at Campus Gabrielle-Roy only, with Fall and Winter admission and uncapped enrollment. Two entry tracks apply: the no-additional-math track (300.M0) requires Secondary 4 CST-sequence mathematics or Math 514/416; the with-math track (300.M1) requires Secondary 5 TS/SN-sequence mathematics or Math 526. As with all Cégep de l'Outaouais DEC programmes, international applicants must pass a mandatory French-proficiency test: the Bright test (minimum average 3.7, or 3.5 for candidates already in Canada on temporary status), TCF tout public or TEF (band 500-599, CEFR C1), or DALF C1.
