Overview

Techniques d'éducation à l'enfance est un programme technique (322.A1) du Cégep du Vieux Montréal menant au DEC, centré sur la créativité, le dynamisme et l'expression. La formation prépare à soutenir l'apprentissage des enfants par le jeu et à concevoir des activités éducatives, tout en développant la capacité de travailler en collaboration avec d'autres professionnelles et professionnels ainsi qu'avec les parents. Le programme comprend un accès à un laboratoire d'observation pédagogique permettant d'observer et d'analyser des situations éducatives concrètes avant ou pendant les stages en milieu de garde ou en milieu scolaire. Le contenu met l'accent sur l'accompagnement du développement harmonieux des jeunes enfants et sur la capacité à s'exprimer, à créer et à réfléchir dans une perspective éducative. International applicants need a diploma equivalent to the DES (11 to 13 years of schooling, or a recognised 11-year record or baccalauréat for French-medium systems) plus this programme's own prerequisites, apply via admission.sram.qc.ca paying the CAD 85 SRAM fee, and receive a decision in three to eight weeks. The programme is open to international applicants, who must also follow the college's international-admission process.

International applicants follow a separate SRAM timeline: applications for Fall 2027 opened 15 March 2026 and close 14 March 2027, while Winter 2028 applications open 1 June 2026 and close 31 May 2027. Admission is not open-ended rolling, but SRAM runs successive rounds for as long as places remain. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
