Overview

Techniques d'intégration multimédia (582.A1) is a three-year technical DEC offered at the Cégep de Lanaudière's L'Assomption campus, with admission in the fall and, under certain conditions, the winter session. The program is available in an alternance travail-études (work-study) format with paid internships, and includes DEC-BAC and DEP-DEC pathways. It covers the concepts, tools and programming languages used to produce multimedia content, training students to analyze the needs of multimedia projects and plan their production, to design and process different media (text, 2D and 3D images, sound, video and animation), to create the design of media, interfaces and experiences, to capture and integrate different types of content, and to ensure the interactivity of finished multimedia products. The program includes an eight-week internship near the end of studies and the page notes a possible DEC-BAC pathway with the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières toward a university degree in computer science. The L'Assomption campus offers a capture studio and specialized equipment, along with training in client management and project management. It suits students interested in digital technology, design and teamwork who are aiming for a career in multimedia production or web/interactive development.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: The programme page states only that admission follows the general admission conditions of Cégep régional de Lanaudière, without listing further programme-specific prerequisites. The programme admits in Fall and Winter, though the Winter intake is limited to students who completed a DEP under a specific DEP-DEC articulation agreement with the college. Under those conditions, domestic applicants need a Diplôme d'études secondaires (DES) or a Diplôme d'études professionnelles (DEP) plus three specific courses — langue d'enseignement de 5e secondaire, langue seconde de 5e secondaire and mathématiques de 4e secondaire — or, for applicants who have interrupted full-time study for at least 24 consecutive months, training and experience the college judges sufficient. Applications go only through admission.sram.qc.ca, for a non-refundable CAD 30 fee; for Fall 2026 the college lists three rounds, the first-round deadline falling on 1 March 2026. International applicants use the same SRAM portal, and must submit a French-language test accepted by SRAM (waived only for applicants from France) before an admission letter, CAQ and study permit can follow.

Application Details

Start Date: Fall and Winter
Application Deadline: Domestic applicants apply through the Service régional d'admission du Montréal métropolitain (SRAM) for whichever of the cégep's three campuses they choose: for Fall 2027 entry the round-one deadline is 1 March 2027, with the system opening mid-January 2027 and later rounds running into May while places remain; Winter 2027 entry is already open, with a round-one deadline of 1 November 2026. International applicants follow a separate SRAM timeline: applications for Fall 2027 opened 15 March 2026 and close 14 March 2027, while Winter 2028 applications open 1 June 2026 and close 31 May 2027. Admission is not open-ended rolling, but SRAM runs successive rounds for as long as places remain. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
