Sciences humaines: Decouverte (300.45) is a pre-university DEC profile at College Ahuntsic within the general Sciences humaines program (chosen as 300.M0 on SRAM, then this profile). The page describes it as intended for students who are drawn to the humanities but undecided among its disciplines; the profile lets students explore their interests during the first year of the DEC before choosing specialized courses in the second. The eight humanities disciplines available include political science, geography, history, psychology, anthropology, economics, sociology, and administration. The program runs four sessions full-time, with classes scheduled Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Entry requires a Secondary 4 mathematics prerequisite, and the program admits for both the Fall and Winter sessions. It leads toward the same range of university humanities and social-science programs as the other Sciences humaines profiles.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: The program's own page sets one prerequisite: Secondary 4 CST mathematics (or Mathematiques 416). Beyond this, admission follows the College's general regulation R-11: a Diplome d'etudes secondaires covering it, or an equivalent Diplome d'etudes professionnelles with the required upgrading courses, plus eligible citizenship or immigration status. Applicants whose Secondary 5 language of instruction was not French must pass the College's own French-language test. Admission is offered for both the Fall and Winter sessions, per SRAM's calendar. Admission is processed through SRAM.
