QUEST is an eight-month gap-year program combining academic study, wilderness adventure, and Christian formation, running from early September to late April. It includes 25 college-level credits covering Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, Spiritual Formation, Healthy Relationships, Leadership, and Christian Decision Making. Alongside coursework, students complete more than 35 days of outdoor adventure activity, including backpacking, canoeing, canyoneering, caving, snowboarding and skiing, snowshoeing, winter camping, cross-country skiing, and rock climbing. The program is structured around small cohort groups with a high leader-to-student ratio for ongoing mentorship, and offers an optional cross-cultural service trip to locations such as Costa Rica or Rwanda. Students complete the program on campus and graduate with a QUEST Certificate. It is designed for students taking a gap year before further study, combining academic credit, outdoor skill-building, and community life in a single cohort-based year.
