English and Creative Writing (BA)

This Bachelor of Arts with Honours in English and Creative Writing lets students work on their craft as creative writers while developing a broad academic context through the study of English Literature. The program combines creative and scholarly environments, using the critical reading and writing skills developed through literary study to sharpen students' own creative work in fiction, poetry, and other forms. Full-time study takes a minimum of three to four years (90-120 credits), depending on the student's academic background, with classes on the Sir George Williams campus and admission in the Fall or Winter term. The program is available only to students already enrolled at Concordia through internal degree transfer or concentration change. Graduates pursue careers in writing, publishing, editing, and further study in literature or creative writing.
