Overview

The Individualized Program (INDI) allows students to design their own research goals in areas not covered by Concordia's existing graduate programmes, drawing on methodologies from multiple fields under the guidance of a supervisory committee. It is thesis-based, combining 12 credits of coursework with 33 credits of thesis work, split between a 6-credit thesis proposal (INDI 688) and 27 credits of research and thesis writing (INDI 691), for a total of 45 credits over a nominal two years. Admission is in the Fall term only, with a January 15 application deadline. Applicants require a bachelor's degree with high academic standing in a relevant disciplinary area or its equivalent, and must demonstrate English proficiency if their primary language is not English.
