Program details
Overview
The PhD in the Individualized Program (INDI) allows students to design their own doctoral research goals in areas not covered by Concordia University's existing graduate programs, integrating concepts and methodologies from multiple disciplines into a single course of study. Students work with an interdisciplinary supervisory committee to develop and complete an original research thesis tailored to their chosen area of study. Coursework specific to the program is offered under the INDI course designation. The degree requires a minimum of 90 credits and has a nominal full-time duration of four years, based at the Sir George Williams campus. New students are admitted in the fall term only.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Applicants normally require a master's degree, or its equivalent, in a relevant disciplinary area. Applicants whose primary language is not English must demonstrate that their knowledge of English is sufficient to pursue graduate studies in their chosen field. The application deadline for fall admission is January 15 for all applicants.
