This Bachelor of Arts in Human Environment, offered through Concordia's Department of Geography, Planning and Environment in the Faculty of Arts and Science, examines how geography influences human behaviour and the impact of human activity on the environment. Students study place-environment relationships, environmental change, social and environmental justice, and resource sustainability, while developing data analysis and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) skills. Students choose Honours (60 credits), Specialization (60 credits), Major (42 credits) or Minor (30 credits). Full-time study takes a minimum of three to four years (90-120 credits), with classes held primarily on the Sir George Williams campus and admission in the Fall or Winter term. The program suits students aiming for careers in urban planning, environmental management, GIS analysis or sustainability-focused roles.

Admission Requirements: Direct entry from Quebec CEGEP requires an average of 21. Canadian high-school applicants need a C+ average (ACT/SAT not required); IB Diploma applicants need 26 points, or 4.3/7 for the IB Career-related Programme; Baccalauréat français applicants need 11; British GCE A-levels require at least two exams with DD-equivalent results; university transfer applicants need a C average. Concordia's institution-wide English proficiency minimum applies unless exempt: IELTS Academic 6.0 with no band below 5.5, TOEFL iBT 70, or Duolingo 105.
