Overview
Mobile Solutions Development is a two-year, four-term Ontario College Graduate Certificate offered at Conestoga's Milton and Waterloo campuses, with intakes in September, January, and May. The program builds a practical background in mobile solutions design and development across different devices, operating systems, and database and network infrastructures, along with software quality and security considerations for mobile applications. The final term consists of a Guided Career Management course, which students may replace with an optional co-op work term in the mobile software industry. Courses are taught by industry-experienced faculty, with some classes scheduled into the evening. The program is intended for graduates of computer science, software engineering or technology, computer engineering or technology, or related programs, preparing them for roles in mobile application design and development.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Admission requires an Ontario College diploma, advanced diploma, degree, or equivalent with an overall average grade of B or above (assessed, by country, to Ontario standards) in computer science, software engineering or technology, or computer engineering or technology; other related disciplines with a significant software development component, such as electronics and communications engineering, may also be considered. Canadian citizens and permanent residents with transcripts from outside Canada require a course-by-course credential evaluation through a provider such as ICAS or WES. Applicants whose prior instruction was not in English must demonstrate English language proficiency per Conestoga's institution-wide requirements for degree and graduate certificate programs (IELTS Academic 6.5, TOEFL iBT 88, PTE Academic 58, or Duolingo 120).
