The Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology – Honours is offered by Douglas College's Humanities and Social Sciences faculty at its New Westminster and Coquitlam campuses, on a full-time or part-time basis, admitting new students in Fall. The four-year, 120-credit program follows on from the regular Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology and centres on an honours thesis involving supervised, independent research, alongside hands-on experience in the field, lab and through student society volunteering. In the third and fourth years, students focus on one of six concentrations: Pre-counselling, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Disability and Applied Behaviour Analysis, Forensic/Criminology, Applied Theory and Research, or Leadership and Management. Admission requires prior completion of the Bachelor of Applied Psychology, specific psychology and research-methods coursework, and a faculty member's agreement to supervise the honours thesis. Graduates are prepared for roles applying psychology in the workplace or for further graduate study.
