Overview
The W. Galen Weston Centre for Food is the cornerstone facility of our culinary management program. This specialized teaching space embodies our field-to-fork philosophy, allowing students to turn locally sourced ingredients into culinary masterpieces. Here, under the guidance of our expert faculty in small class settings, you’ll master various cooking techniques while preparing ethnic, classical and contemporary cuisine. Through practical experience in this space, students in our culinary management diploma program develop the precise skills and confidence needed to excel in management culinary positions across the food service industry.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Entry requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma, or Mature Student Status for applicants aged 19 or over without one, plus Grade 12 English at the C or U level. No further subject prerequisite, minimum GPA, portfolio or interview is stated on the program's own admission page. International and non-native-English-speaking applicants must meet Durham College's general English Language Proficiency Policy: IELTS Academic 6.0 with no band below 5.5, TOEFL iBT 88 with no section below 22, PTE Academic 53 with no section below 49, CAEL 60 overall, or Duolingo English Test 110.
