1. Apply common industry practices to written proposals and print documents, visual storyboards, and interactive presentations.2. Present and report on research done about mass media and social media technologies.3. Choose appropriate tools, techniques and applications to create media assets and presentations.4. Develop a career plan and produce a portfolio of self-promotional materials for the chosen field.5. Collaborate with a production team in the creation of media projects.7. Utilize a variety of industry standard audio/video software applications and techniques in the creation of media for a wide range of platforms.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Direct entry requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), with courses accepted from the College (C), University (U), University/College (M) or Open (O) stream, or equivalent, or a mature applicant; applicants without a high school diploma may instead complete Fanshawe's Academic and Career Entrance (ACE) Grade 12 Equivalency Certificate. Applicants whose first language is not English must meet Fanshawe's Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas & Certificates English requirement published on the programme page: IELTS Academic overall 6.0 with no band below 5.5, TOEFL iBT 79 (2026-scale equivalent overall 4.5, no band below 4.0), PTE Academic minimum 53 (no band below 45), CAEL overall 60 (no band below 50, 80 in listening), Cambridge English 169 (no skill below 162), Duolingo 105 (no score below 95), or LanguageCert Academic 65 (no skill below 60).

Application Deadline:Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca: for Fall 2027 entry, applications open in early October 2026 and the equal-consideration date is 1 February 2027, after which later applications are assessed on a first-come basis until seats fill; non-competitive programs begin receiving offers from 1 November 2026, competitive-program offers go out by 30 March 2027, and 1 May 2027 is the usual deadline to accept an offer. International applicants apply directly to Fanshawe (CAD 100 fee) and face fixed document deadlines rather than a single closing date: for the current intakes, study-permit and conditions-met documents are due 10/15 August 2026 (Fall), 9/15 December 2026 (Winter) and 5/15 April 2027 (Summer); missing a deadline can mean deferral to the next intake.
