Trades - Apprenticeship in Auto Body Repairer Apprentice (Branch II - Block Release)

Auto Body Repairer Apprentice (Branch II - Block Release) is an Ontario College Certificate apprenticeship offered by Fanshawe College, combining employer-based on-the-job training with block-release classroom and shop instruction. The programme develops the specialized skills needed to repair damaged vehicle bodies, covering panel replacement, frame and structural repair, and refinishing techniques required to keep vehicles safe and roadworthy, with each level of training combining paid employer-based work with a block of classroom and shop study at the college. Admission is not through ontariocolleges.ca: applicants must first secure a sponsor/employer in the auto body repair trade, then complete a registered training agreement through Skilled Trades Ontario before attending in-class training blocks at Fanshawe. Graduates work as licensed auto body repairers, assessing collision damage and carrying out structural and cosmetic repairs at collision repair shops, dealerships and auto body service centres.
