Requirements
Admission Requirements: This diploma stream is restricted to students who completed the PWX, PWZ, or NTI PSW-PN Bridging pathway within the previous 24 months; eligible applicants are admitted through the Ontario Colleges Application Service directly into Semester Two of the Practical Nursing programme, so the standard OSSD course prerequisites do not apply. Before beginning clinical placement, students must clear a criminal reference check, a vulnerable-sector police check and a TB test, and hold current First Aid, CPR-C and mask-fit certification. The programme page sets no language requirement of its own, so Fleming's institution-wide English proficiency standard for diploma and certificate programmes applies: IELTS Academic 6.0 overall with no band below 5.5, TOEFL iBT 80, Duolingo English Test 105, or PTE Academic 46, or completion of Level 8 of Fleming's own English Language Bridge programme.
