Requirements
Admission Requirements: Open to domestic applicants only, and only to people who already hold an Ontario Personal Support Worker certificate awarded from 2014 onward by a college of applied arts and technology, an accredited private career college or a recognised institution. Applicants need a PSW program grade point average of at least 3.0, Grade 12 English (C or U) at 65 per cent or better, and Grade 11 Mathematics (M or U) or Grade 12 Mathematics (C or U) at 65 per cent or better. Mature applicants aged 19 or over without an OSSD may take the Admissions Assessment for English and mathematics, or upgrade to earn those credits. Successful students move into the S121 Practical Nursing program in the semester immediately after finishing this certificate, and it is their responsibility to satisfy S121's own special requirements - including the police vulnerable sector check and health records - by that program's deadlines.
