Requirements

Admission Requirements: Entry requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent with Grade 12 English at the C or U level, plus a portfolio component: a demo reel of at least one short film or trailer, a current resume, and a video submission, with full instructions on submitting these sent to qualified applicants during the application process. Mature applicants (19 or older, no OSSD) can meet the English credit through George Brown's own Admissions Assessment or academic upgrading. The page does not publish a numeric English-language test score for this diploma; non-OSSD and international applicants are pointed to the college's general evidence-of-English requirement, so exact IELTS, TOEFL or PTE cut-offs should be confirmed directly with George Brown. Selection is competitive and meeting the listed minimums does not guarantee a seat. Students who start in the January intake must also attend classes over the summer months, from May to August.
