Cert in Financial Planning

The Financial Planning certificate covers risk management, investment and taxation, and develops the ability to integrate and analyze all aspects of a client's financial needs, preparing graduates to advise individuals, companies and other organizations on managing their financial resources. The certificate is approved by FP Canada (FPSC) for writing the CFP examination. It is offered by the School of Administrative Studies in the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies and is open to current York students or to new applicants who already hold a university degree. Applicants must have successfully completed MHF4U, or the equivalent, and obtained a minimum grade of C in each of ECON 1000 and ECON 1010. Study sessions run in the Fall, Winter and Summer terms, and students may enrol full-time or part-time.
