Professional Accounting Certificate

This certificate is an advanced-level, 30-credit, 10-course undergraduate program in professional accounting at HEC Montréal. It is designed for students who have already completed HEC Montréal's Certificat en gestion comptable des organisations and want to deepen their accounting knowledge before pursuing further professional studies. Courses are delivered in French, combine in-person and hybrid formats, and are scheduled mainly evenings and weekends to accommodate working students, with some daytime sections offered depending on the annual course offering. Full-time and part-time study are both possible, though the certificate is designed primarily for part-time study. The program does not qualify graduates for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) and does not lead to admission to HEC Montréal's D.E.S.S. in Professional Accounting – CPA. Admission is based on completion of the prerequisite certificate rather than a separate set of supporting documents.
