Overview

This 45-credit graduate program leads to a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in management with a specialization in marketing at HEC Montreal, delivered on site at the Cote-des-Neiges campus in Montreal with day classes, full-time or part-time, over 16 to 24 months. The curriculum builds competencies for managing marketing activities, including demand analysis, consumer behaviour, competitive market interpretation, and evaluating marketing effectiveness, with coursework in brand management, customer relations, marketing communications, distribution, and retail. Three mandatory courses cover marketing research methodology and business foundations, complemented by electives drawn from a marketing course list; a course called Experience Quebec supports the integration of international students into the Quebec and Canadian job markets. Two completion pathways are offered: a thesis stream of seven courses plus a 24-credit thesis, or a supervised-project stream of twelve courses plus a 9-credit supervised project. The program suits students seeking specialized graduate training in marketing management, and graduates may be eligible for a post-graduation work permit.
