Admission Requirements: Beyond Holland College's general full-time admission rule (Grade 12 or equivalent with credits at or above the general level, a resume covering work, volunteer and extracurricular experience, and a high school transcript, with a post-secondary transcript added where relevant), the Human Services page requires a minimum of 65% in Grade 12 academic English, two letters of reference (one personal, one from an employer or teacher), current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C training completed in person, not online, a current WHMIS certificate, and a criminal record and vulnerable sector check before practicum placement; experience in group homes or residences, vocational training centres, or special education classes is preferred. English is the language of instruction: applicants whose first language is not English demonstrate proficiency with IELTS Academic 6.5 (no band below 6), TOEFL iBT 85, CAEL 60 (minimum 50 per band), PTE Academic 60, Duolingo English Test 120 (no section under 115) or Cambridge B2 First/C1 Advanced/C2 Proficiency 176 (no band below 169). The program takes a September intake at the Prince of Wales Campus and the West Prince Campus.
