Ce certificat s'adresse aux personnes ayant une déficience intellectuelle, un trouble du spectre de l'autisme ou des défis d'apprentissage significatifs. Il vise à accroître les compétences essentielles liées à l'employabilité et à la vie en communauté grâce à des cours de niveau collégial adaptés aux besoins et aux limitations de chaque étudiant, ainsi qu'à des stages supervisés en milieu de travail menant à l'obtention d'un certificat. Les candidates et candidats doivent démontrer une volonté de participer pleinement au programme et un niveau d'autonomie ne nécessitant pas de supervision constante.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Admission follows the OSSD, or, for applicants without it, being at least 19 at the start of the school year with an Ontario Certificate of Secondary Education or a certificate of achievement potentially accepted instead. Applicants must provide evidence of an intellectual disability, autism-spectrum disorder or a significant learning challenge, such as a psychological assessment or an individualised education plan, and must complete La Cité's admission package. Every applicant must attend a mandatory interview, at which they must also show they can arrange their own transportation to the college and to placement sites, identify any academic accommodations they need, show a level of independence that does not require constant supervision, and demonstrate willingness to participate fully in the programme. No language test score is published.
