Diploma in Éducation en services à l'enfance (Apprentissage mixte - Toronto) is a diploma in Social Sciences & Education programme offered by La Cité Collégiale in Ottawa, Canada. The programme runs for 5 semesters, delivered on campus. Teaching is in English. Tuition for international students is CAD 1,385 per semester (CAD 1,385 per semester for local students).
Requirements
Admission Requirements: La Cité notes that a good knowledge of English is desirable because of the programme's workplace placements, but sets no test or score for this. A criminal record for which no pardon has been sought or obtained reduces the chance of securing a placement or later employment in the field. Before the practicum terms (steps 2 to 4), students need an up-to-date immunisation record, a police criminal-record check or proof of pardon, a Red Cross or St. John Ambulance general first-aid certificate, and a Level-C CPR certificate, both kept valid throughout the programme. Domestic Ontario applicants need the OSSD or equivalent, or, at 19 or over, a pass on La Cité's mature-applicant test; Quebec and New Brunswick applicants need their own provincial secondary diploma on the same mature-applicant basis.
