Admission Requirements: Entry requires a college diploma or university degree in social sciences/humanities or health. Applicants meeting this requirement register through Ontario Colleges' admission service; some individual courses can instead be taken à la carte directly through La Cité's admissions office, as professional development or before committing to the full programme, though completing the postgraduate certificate itself still requires an application through Ontario Colleges. A professional in the autism and behavioural-science field with significant relevant experience combined with a postsecondary credential may request course equivalencies after admission. An unpardoned criminal record can prevent a student from completing a practicum at some care and education institutions. A current immunization record is required before registration. International applicants follow La Cité's institution-wide requirement of a secondary diploma or baccalaureate, or proof of final-year enrolment.
