Overview
Ce programme d'animation 3D plonge les étudiantes et étudiants dans un environnement semblable à une véritable boîte de production dès la première journée de cours. Après un survol du domaine, chacun choisit dès la deuxième étape une spécialisation — modélisation ou texture, volet layout ou personnage, ou encore animation — puis collabore à des projets communs avec les étudiants des autres étapes sous la supervision de professeurs-experts qui agissent comme des coachs. L'apprentissage par unités, les classes de maître et le développement d'un portfolio préparent aux studios de films d'animation et de jeux vidéo.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Additional recommended preparation includes courses in drawing, sketching, visual arts, photography or graphic design. Good English-language ability is necessary because course materials are in English, and applicants should follow developments in animation, film, television or video games together with a sustained interest in 2D or 3D animation and drawing. Ontario applicants need the OSSD or equivalent, or, for those 19 and over, La Cité's mature-applicant test; Quebec applicants need the Quebec DES or its own mature-applicant test; New Brunswick applicants need that province's DES or mature-applicant test. International applicants need a secondary diploma or baccalaureate, or proof of enrolment in the final year of secondary school; La Cité states its admission process is competitive because of limited capacity and that admission is never guaranteed even when every published requirement is met.
