Chemistry at Lakehead University is a four-year Honours Bachelor of Science program covering the composition and behaviour of matter across analytical, biochemistry, inorganic, medicinal, organic, polymer, physical and theoretical chemistry. The program is delivered at the Thunder Bay campus in small classes, with access to research instrumentation through the Lakehead University Instrumentation Laboratory. Students can combine Chemistry with Biology or Education, or pursue a Medical Sciences specialization within the degree, and a six-year combined format pairing Chemistry with a Bachelor of Education is also available. The curriculum builds a foundation in laboratory technique and chemical theory for further study or careers in analytical and research chemistry, pharmaceuticals, environmental science, forensic science, and secondary and post-secondary education.
