Overview
The Full Stack Web Development Citation focuses on best practices in front- and back-end web application development, web programming, information security, modern application stack, and modern software development. This is an intensive program with major emphasis on practical programming. You will have good problem decomposition skills, be able to quickly switch between abstract and concrete thinking, recognize and apply patterns, describe a sequence of steps and conditions to solve a problem, convert those steps into an algorithm and code, and adapt to applied study styles necessary for computer programming and software engineering. Requirements
Admission Requirements: Admission to the Full Stack Web Development Citation requires BC Grade 12 graduation (or equivalent) for domestic applicants, or 19 years of age or older as an alternative; international applicants need BC Grade 12 graduation or equivalent. English proficiency is assessed under Langara's Category 3 standard: English Studies 12 / English First Peoples 12 / Literary Studies 12 at 50%, IELTS Academic 6.5, Duolingo English Test 110, TOEFL iBT 80 (Writing 20, Reading 20, Listening 18, Speaking 18), CAEL 60, or PTE Academic 56. The citation has limited enrolment and runs a minimum of one year, with an intake each September; admission to the program does not guarantee registration in required courses.
