The English-language requirement sits in BCIT's Category 2 band, met by English Studies 12 at 67% or equivalent, or by Category 2 international scores (IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no band under 5.5, TOEFL iBT 86 with no section under 20, PTE Academic 60 with no skill under 60, or Duolingo 120 with no integrated subscore under 95), per BCIT's institution-wide English Language Proficiency page. Participants must be able to make written and verbal presentations and work in groups, and BCIT recommends some prior post-secondary education or work experience in business or computing. Openings are 9:00 am and deadlines 11:59 pm Pacific Time, moving to the next business day on a weekend. Admission is not institute-wide rolling, but many programs work first-qualified-first-accepted and can fill before the posted deadline, and several programs, mostly in Health Sciences, trades and graduate studies, run entirely separate application tables of their own.
