Overview
The Diploma in Artificial Intelligence Application Design and Development (Developer pathway) is a two-year, 60-credit program within Langara College's Artificial Intelligence Applications Program (AIAP). It combines foundation courses in communications and design thinking with existing Computer Science coursework, then builds specialized skills in full-stack web and mobile development, cloud and data systems, AI application development, and software practices; students can embed a Full Stack Development Citation (15 credits) within the diploma. In later terms, developer- and designer-pathway students collaborate on cross-disciplinary projects, culminating in an AIAP capstone project, to design, prototype, and build functional digital products. The curriculum emphasizes applied, hands-on learning aligned with current industry practice, and graduates leave with a portfolio of cross-disciplinary project work. The program is delivered in person, non-cohort, on a full-time or part-time basis, and the diploma is eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit for international students.
