BA/BS in Nursing

This is a four-year, full-time Bachelor of Science in Nursing delivered on campus, accredited by the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing and approved by the College of Nurses of Ontario, comprising 124 credits. The curriculum draws on health sciences such as biology and chemistry, social sciences such as psychology and sociology, nursing science, and electives, and combines classroom case studies with laboratory simulation and clinical practice placements that begin in the first term. Clinical experience spans long-term care, acute care, and community settings. The program reserves at least ten seats annually for First Nations, Métis, or Inuit students and offers a collaborative option with Northern College at its Timmins location, as well as a pathway into the university's Master of Science in Nursing program. Graduates become eligible to apply for Registered Nurse registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. It suits students seeking direct patient-care careers and can lead to roles in hospitals, long-term care, community and public health nursing, teaching, research, or advanced practice nursing following further study.
