Educational Assistant Certificate

The Educational Assistant Certificate is a one-year, 36-credit program delivered fully online in an asynchronous format, preparing students to support classroom teachers and contribute to inclusive learning environments for children and youth with diverse needs. Students study strategies for fostering engagement, independence, and positive behaviour, and learn to adapt materials and instructional approaches to support individual students. Instruction is delivered in small classes with personalized attention from experienced instructors, and coursework can be completed within instructor-set flexible timeframes rather than at fixed class times. Graduates are prepared to work alongside teachers in Kindergarten to Grade 12 classrooms and other learning support settings, helping students reach their academic and personal potential. The program is not open to international students.
