Overview
This PhD, offered by the Desautels Faculty of Management, is a research-intensive program developing skills in literature review, original thinking, and scientific communication. Students specialize in one of accounting, finance, information systems, marketing, operations management, organizational behaviour, retail management, or strategy and organization. The program is part of a joint doctoral program bringing together HEC Montreal, Concordia, UQAM, and McGill, giving students access to course offerings from the partner universities and requiring committee members from outside McGill. Graduates are prepared as autonomous researchers whose teaching, publications, and consulting contribute to universities and organizations internationally.
