The Honours in Investment Management program is offered by the Desautels Faculty of Management and prepares students for careers in financial asset management through investment teaching, research and industry practice. Coursework covers financial statement analysis, investment management, risk management in finance and advanced business statistics. Every student in the program gains hands-on experience through Desautels Capital Management, a student-run investment firm managing roughly five million dollars in assets, covering financial analysis, portfolio management, corporate finance, global investments and hedge-fund investing. The program is designed to prepare graduates for CFA, CAIA, FRM and PRM professional accreditations, and alumni commonly work in equity research, asset management, investment banking, risk management and private equity.
