The Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Cell Biology is a thesis-based, research-intensive program offered by the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology in McGill University's Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. Under the guidance of a faculty supervisor, students design and execute an original research project in areas such as structural biology, quantitative biology, cell and extracellular matrix biology, cryo-electron microscopy, membrane trafficking, and molecular genetics. The Department maintains one of the largest electron microscope facilities globally, including a Tecnai F20 and a Titan Krios, and operates a Harmonized Funding Policy guaranteeing graduate students a minimum funding package. A regular seminar series features local and international researchers in the field. The program develops skills in literature review, critical thinking, and scientific communication.
