Overview
Urban Planning (Non-Thesis) is a 60-credit Master of Urban Planning offered by the Department of Urban Planning in the Faculty of Engineering. Admission Requirements: The Master of Urban Planning admission page states that the M.U.P. is open to holders of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Anthropology, Architecture, Economics, Engineering, Geography, Law, Management, Political Science, Social Work, Sociology or Urban Studies, though applicants from other backgrounds may also apply; basic, high-school-level algebra is expected as preparation for the programme's statistics and data-analysis methods training. The minimum cumulative grade point average is 3.0/4.0 (B), or 3.2/4.0 over the last two years of full-time undergraduate study. Applicants whose first language is not English and who have not studied at an anglophone or recognised institution must submit TOEFL or IELTS scores: a TOEFL iBT overall score of 100 with at least 23 on each of its four components, or an IELTS overall band of 7.0 with at least 6.5 on each component.
