Offered by Memorial University of Newfoundland in St. John's, Canada, Master of Employment Relations is a master's degree in Human Resource Management programme. The programme runs for 2 years. Tuition for international students is CAD 9,666 per total (CAD 5,718 per total for local students).
The Master of Employment Relations at Memorial University is a joint graduate degree offered by the Faculty of Business Administration and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, delivered through business faculty accredited by AACSB. The program takes a multidisciplinary approach to managing employment relationships, drawing on coursework in business, sociology, history, and economics alongside labour market trends, industrial relations research, and human resources best practices. Topics range from career counselling to contract negotiation, and the curriculum situates employment relationships within their historical and social context as well as their organizational and legal dimensions. Students complete a research component in which they design and carry out a project tailored to their own interests within the field. It suits professionals and graduates seeking advanced, cross-disciplinary training in human resources management and industrial relations, combining a business perspective with the social-science grounding needed to analyze workplace and labour issues from multiple angles.
