Overview
The Master of Industrial Relations and Human Resources (MIRHR) is a professional graduate degree offered by the University of Toronto's Centre for Industrial Relations and Human Resources, covering human resources management, labour-management relations, collective bargaining and dispute resolution, organization development, and labour-market and social policy through an interdisciplinary approach to the employment relationship. Two options are available: a two-year program combining 4.0 full-course equivalents of foundation courses in Year 1 with 4.0 full-course equivalents of core and elective courses in Year 2, and a 12-month Advanced-Standing option for applicants with prior relevant academic training. Both are delivered in person and can be taken full-time or part-time; the two-year option is normally completed in 6 sessions full-time, within a 3-year full-time (6-year part-time) time limit. Admission requires an appropriate bachelor's degree from a recognized university with a minimum grade average of B+ in each of the final two years. Graduates receive the Master of Industrial Relations and Human Resources (MIRHR) credential.

Admission Requirements: Applicants require an appropriate bachelor's degree from a recognized university. A minimum grade average of B+ in each of the final two years of the degree is required. Applicants may optionally submit GRE or GMAT results, which are not required and have no minimum score. Applicants whose primary language is not English and who graduated from a university where the language of instruction was not English must write TOEFL or IELTS.
