Diploma in Personal Fitness Trainer

Personal Fitness Trainer is a diploma program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology that combines hands-on training in physical training and safe exercise technique with coursework in exercise science, nutrition, lifestyle counselling, marketing and business management. The program offers a full-time, in-person pathway completing five courses most terms with graduation in two years, and a separate part-time online pathway spread over three years. Both pathways include two practicums that give students supervised experience working with clients.
