Cybersecurity is a one-year, post-diploma certificate at NAIT that prepares students to protect organizations, networks, applications and users from cybersecurity threats. Coursework builds technical skills in detecting, preventing and responding to cyberattacks, covering risk assessment, security-strategy implementation and system hardening using industry-standard tools. The program also covers current standards and regulations, along with the legal and political issues surrounding cybersecurity, so graduates understand information-protection expectations in an interconnected environment. The program runs with a Fall intake at NAIT's Main campus, offered in both online and hybrid delivery formats, with classes scheduled on weekday evenings. Graduates are prepared for roles including cybersecurity consultant and IT security analyst, addressing a range of cybersecurity challenges for businesses and individuals as protection needs continue to grow more complex.
