Cybersecurity Immersive Industry Education is a post-diploma certificate at NAIT designed for working IT professionals advancing their cybersecurity skills while remaining employed. The apprenticeship-style curriculum covers cybersecurity fundamentals, network security, cryptography and cyber risk management, combining online coursework with on-the-job learning so students can apply their studies directly to their daily work. The program is intended for individual IT professionals as well as employers seeking to upskill staff, and requires proof of paid IT employment with an employer who agrees to oversee workplace learning. Delivery blends online and workplace-based components rather than full-time campus attendance, and students are expected to have a laptop computer to complete coursework. Graduates develop the skills and knowledge needed to protect digital assets and mitigate cybersecurity risk within their own organizations, applying what they learn directly to their existing employer's environment.
