Requirements

Admission Requirements: Domestic applicants only, per the College's program page. This is the transfer year into an engineering degree, and its entry bar is higher than most Okanagan College certificates. Academic base: B.C. secondary-school graduation or the equivalent, or being 19 or older and out of secondary school for at least a year as of the first day of classes. English 12 at a minimum of 67 per cent, or an accepted alternative. Mathematics: at least 67 per cent in Pre-Calculus 12, ABE MATH 012 or Okanagan College MATH 120. Science: at least 67 per cent in both Chemistry 12 and Physics 12. Recency rule: all of those courses must have been completed within the last two years, so that the knowledge is current. Applicants who fall short on mathematics are asked to contact the department to discuss their options. One important exception on English: the College states that IELTS, TOEFL and the Duolingo English Test cannot be used to meet the English admission requirement for this certificate.
