Exercise Science and Rehabilitation is a specialization within Ontario Tech University's Kinesiology program, leading to a four-year Bachelor of Health Science (Honours) delivered on-campus at the North Oshawa campus with a September start. The specialization covers the behavioural, biomechanical, physiological and psychosocial aspects of human health and performance, applying that knowledge to rehabilitation, adapted physical activity, sport, exercise and general health across people of varying abilities. Students have access to the Kinesiology Teaching Laboratory and other health sciences facilities. Experiential-learning components include clinical placements, internships, practicum work and research study, and the program prepares students for provincial and national professional examinations. Graduates pursue careers in fields such as rehabilitation, exercise science, and athletic and clinical settings, or continue to further health-professional study.
