Overview

Kinesiology at Trent University is a Bachelor of Science (Honours) program covering the scientific study of human movement, with a focus on health and well-being. Students gain the knowledge and skills to work as kinesiology practitioners, able to prescribe individualized exercise programs. The curriculum combines coursework in biomechanics, exercise physiology, and related sciences, and students have the opportunity to complete a clinical or community practicum or a research project during the fourth year of study. The program prepares graduates for careers and further study in clinical exercise physiology, rehabilitation, sport science, and related health fields.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: A secondary school diploma and six Ontario U/UM credits (or equivalent) are required, including English (ENG4U, with a minimum grade of 60%); one of Advanced Functions (MHF4U), Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U), or Data Management (MDM4U); and two of Biology (SBI4U), Chemistry (SCH4U), Physics (SPH4U), or Kinesiology (PSK4U).
