Legal Assistant is an 11-month, full-time certificate delivered at RRC Polytech's Notre Dame Campus with a January intake. The program develops the skills needed for an entry-level administrative position in a legal setting, teaching students to prepare legal documentation across real estate, civil litigation, wills and estates, domestic and family law, business, and appeals. A 150-hour practicum gives students hands-on experience applying these skills in a legal workplace. The program is designed to suit both new graduates and individuals re-entering the workforce or pursuing a new career path in the legal profession. Before the practicum, students must submit a current Adult Criminal Record Vulnerable Sector Check. Graduates are prepared for entry-level legal assistant roles supporting lawyers and legal teams with document preparation and administrative tasks.
