Diploma in Environmental Engineering Technology

Environmental Engineering Technology is a 32-month diploma focused on the stewardship of environmental resources, covering water resources management and protection, water supply and treatment, wastewater collection and treatment, soil remediation, solid waste management, air quality, geographic information systems and remote sensing, environmental management, project management, and health and safety. The program builds on a first year shared with Civil Engineering Technology, followed by two years in the Environmental Engineering Technology option covering Environmental Sciences, Water Resources, Water and Wastewater Treatment, Waste Management, GIS, and Environmental Management, culminating in an applied technical project in the final year. A mandatory six-month co-op work term follows both the first and second years of study. Admission to the option requires successful completion of the first year of the Civil Engineering Technology program with a cumulative grade point average of 2.00 and a minimum grade of C in Chemistry (CIVL-1019). The program is delivered full-time and on campus at the Notre Dame Campus in Winnipeg.
