Overview

Environmental Engineering Technology (Co-op) at College of the North Atlantic is a two-year diploma program providing multidisciplinary training in environmental science and engineering principles, covering water treatment, air pollution control, and waste management. The program includes a cooperative education component that gives students paid work experience alongside classroom instruction. Delivery is on-campus at the Corner Brook campus. Admission requires a High School Graduation Certificate with a 60% overall average including English 3201 (60% minimum), Mathematics at Advanced 2200/3200 (50% minimum) or Academic 3201 (60% minimum), and two Science courses from Biology 3201, Physics 3204, Chemistry 3202, or Earth Systems 3209 (50% minimum). Graduates pursue roles as environmental consultants, watershed specialists, environmental protection officers, industrial hygienists, and environmental auditors, and may transfer credits toward bachelor's degrees at Royal Roads University, the University of New Brunswick, or the Fisheries and Marine Institute.

Admission Requirements: Direct entry requires a High School Graduation Certificate with a 60% overall average including English 3201 (60% minimum), Mathematics at Advanced 2200/3200 (50% minimum) or Academic 3201 (60% minimum), and two Science courses from Biology 3201, Physics 3204, Chemistry 3202, or Earth Systems 3209 (50% minimum). English proficiency is not set at programme level and instead follows CNA's institution-wide requirement: IELTS Academic overall band 6.0, TOEFL iBT 79, PTE Academic 53, or Duolingo 105, per Admission Procedure AC-102-PR.
