The Database Administrator certificate is a one-year, full-time program at SAIT delivered in a blended format that combines in-person instruction at Main Campus with online coursework. Students learn to manage and maintain organizational databases using tools from Oracle and Microsoft, covering data organization, database design, performance optimization, backup and recovery, and security implementation. The program is designed for learners who already have IT literacy; prior experience with relational databases and operating systems is strongly recommended before starting. Because the courses are tightly integrated with one another, credit for prior learning is not available in this program. The program accepts international applicants and currently meets the field of study requirement for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). On completion, graduates receive a SAIT Database Administrator certificate.
